About the School
Montessori Children's Garden was established in 2003.
The school has a staff of 10 with three full time teachers. The full time teachers are Sandra Honey, Jane Jones, Mr. Sultan and Tina Lemburg with 65 years of combined experience in teaching the Montessori method.
Our school has three classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a kitchen, and storage space.
Each classroom is directed by a Montessori certified head teacher and an assistant teacher. The program includes group and individual activities in art, music, practical life, language arts, mathematics, science, geography, international cultures, and perceptual motor development. Occasionally, students go on field trips and resource people visit the classroom.
Montessori Children's Garden is located in the heart of North Libery, IA, a growing community in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids Corridor.
